Objective

To provide, on behalf of one of the country’s largest tour operators, an affordable travel cancellation policy to all customers.

Challenge

To develop a quality cancellation policy offering excellent value for money.

Solution

In close collaboration with this tour operator client, Mondial Assistance Belgium developed an economical, customer friendly product, which offers travel cancellation policies to all travellers in a large group while providing customers with complete, quality coverage throughout the length of their trip.

Austria: On-line booking system optimises sales

 

Objective

To develop business optimising tools specifically for tour operators.

Challenge

To design a tool which simplifies the buying process without compromising on product choice or quality. 

Solution

The Group’s unit in Austria developed Elveasy booking system. With a name that clearly reflects this tool’s added value,  Elveasy is a safe, customised tool which Tour Operators can easily use when booking travel insurance for customers. Not only does it provide a wide selection of travel insurance products tailored to customers’ specific needs, it also reduces costs and simplifies the process, thereby optimising sales. 

The Netherlands: Employee training improves motivation and boosts sales

 

Objective

To increase Tour Operator sales of travel and cancellation insurance.

Challenge

To train and motivate Tour Operator employees to efficiently sell travel and cancellation insurance over the long term.

Solution

The Netherlands office created the ELVIA Academy, a unique training centre in this business sector, particularly known and appreciated for its basic and follow-up courses. In addition to ELVIA Academy, the ELVIA SpaarProgramma (Savings Programme) was set up to further motivate employees. While following their training to learn how to boost sales, employees simultaneously save up for a selection of original, quality gifts. 

Italy: Improving customer perception of Tour Operator's offer

 

Objective

To improve the perception of a major Tour Operator’s travel insurance policies following the market downturn, and travellers’ growing concerns for safety.

Challenge

To develop new travel assistance services which reassure nervous customers while benefiting the overall industry with much needed added value.

Solution

Our Italian entity designed two new services to meet this challenge. Cancellation reimbursement at any time allows customers to cancel travel plans up to 6 days prior to departure with no questions asked. Assistance for those who remain at Home enables family members who are not travelling to benefit from unique home assistance services for the duration of the travel period. This makes traveling a little easier because customers know that in their absence, their loved ones are being well cared for.

France: Innovative on and off-line sales solutions offer personalised touch

 

Objective

To design personalised, original products and tools adapted to a major Tour Operator’s technical parameters and the needs of its customers. 

Challenge

To make available easy-to-use tools and applications for handling on and off line insurance subscriptions while economising on time and productivity.

Solution

The Back Office Subscription System (BOSS) is a completely automatic off-line sales management tool developed by our business operation in France. It calculates the insurance premium, automatically transfers the day’s insurance sales, ensures data transfer reliability and saves Tour Operators valuable time.

For on-line sales, our French unit designed two solutions, which include both a tariff and a subscription engine. The “Integrated sales” interface enables a transparent integration of travel insurance sales directly onto the TO site. The “Micro site” interface offers separate insurance and travel sales, the advantage being that the technical integration of on-line travel sales in the TO site is very light.

International case study: leading european Tour Operator finds single source provider

 

Objective

To enable customers of Europe’s second largest group of Tour Operators to benefit from extensive travel insurance solutions from a single, global provider.

Challenge

To establish an international partnership agreement between this leading Tour Operator and Mondial Assistance Group, while taking into account local partnerships and conditions in different countries, and still offering worldwide protection to customers.

Solution

Our Group’s European entities designed a range of travel insurance offers to meet local country needs and to be used under the names of local tour operator brands. At the same time, our Group is a single source provider, offering a shared foundation of expertise, experience, values, business policies and quality standards in terms of coverage and benefits for customers wherever they travel.
