Solution

The Group’s French unit designed an “Integrated sales” interface which enables a transparent integration of travel insurance sales directly onto the site of the on-line travel partner. The value of the insurance offer can be calculated instantaneously, along with the selected guarantees, tariff updates and general sales conditions. There is also only one invoicing and payment transaction.  The “Micro site” interface offers separate insurance and travel sales, the advantage being that the technical integration of on-line travel sales in the TO site is very light.

To make available to Europe’s leading on-line, economy air-travel company a complete insurance offer at the time of ticket purchase. 

Challenge

To develop an affordable, global insurance strategy for this new partner that is implemented to the advantage of the local customer in his/her own language in each country.

Solution

Mondial Assistance Group designed a single trip, 14 € travel insurance package available upon purchase of the customer’s airline ticket. According to each country involved in this partnership, the comprehensive package includes quality travel insurance covering trip cancellation, lost baggage and accidents, and assistance for medical expenses and repatriation.

The Group’s Canadian entity, using Web services technology, developed a streamline approach to on-line insurance enrolment, improving service to customers and greatly impacting bottom line revenue. The streamlined approach compliments the entire booking process, listing options, total trip costs and insurance premiums within the booking path for customer’s review before they finalise their purchase. There is no interruption to the booking experience and customers never have to leave your travel supplier website to purchase insurance. As a result of these Web service solutions integrated into the travel booking path, customers are more likely to purchase travel insurance at the same time, thereby increasing insurance sales. In addition, this technology is implemented into your on-line booking path at no cost and with little programming time.
