Mondial Assistance Group was created in 2000. It is the result of the fruitful integration of Swiss-based Elvia Travel Insurance and France’s SACNAS-Mondial Assistance. Elvia was founded in 1950 during the boom years of private tourism and business travel, and Mondial Assistance in 1974, when the “assistance” concept, including roadside and medical support, began to spread. Both companies are leaders in their respective markets, and together represent half a century of expertise and irreproachable professionalism.

The Group’s international presence and global vision have never diminished its involvement on a local level, or its human dimension. This is manifested twofold: by a practice set up between the head office and its different subsidiaries whereby information, experience and resources are shared to achieve synergies and efficient operations at all stages of an intervention; and by the fact that, in a complex and unpredictable world, each member of the Group is committed to the value of helping others and recognises the importance of this commitment.

Accompanying our corporate clients in their own growth is one of our key priorities. To achieve this, the Group adapted an ambitious strategy of geographical expansion, first in Europe, and then throughout the rest of the world. Today, it is the only main market player which offers integrated travel insurance, assistance and service solutions to corporate clients worldwide. But this international scope has done nothing to diminish its human scale. With strong local input and knowledge, and a desire to build long-term relations based on trust and confidence at all levels, the Group continually promotes its business of people assisting other people, anytime, anywhere.
